Gas prices dominate national discussion

Senators propose bill to ease spiking costs

In Central Oregon and around the nation, rising gas prices have left motorists fuming and lawmakers filibustering.

A gallon of regular unleaded reached as high as $3.13 per gallon Thursday in Bend, about 21 cents higher than the national average, according to AAA.
