The "big tree" at La Pine State Park is a massive reminder of the resiliency of nature.
With a circumference of 28 feet, 11 inches, it's the fattest ponderosa pine in Oregon. It used to be the tallest (191 feet) but recently lost a large portion of its crown to a storm. It now stands....
