Bill and Alice Lee Slater of Bend celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married April 13, 1946, in Biloxi, Miss. They met while Mr. Slater was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Biloxi and Mrs. Slater was working for her family service station on the Fulf Coast.
