Rob Jefferies, a 57-year-old Bend resident, may be the modern embodiment of a satyr, the goat-man hybrid of Greek mythology. Along with chasing nymphs and partying to music, satyrs were known as companions of Pan, himself a man-beast combo who played the reed pipe.
