Police cameras are not coming to downtown Bend.

Bend Police Chief Andy Jordan has scuttled a plan to spend $80,000 to install cameras to watch downtown. He had wanted the city to spend $60,000 to put up cameras. Downtown businesses would have chipped in another $20,000.
