At times, such as during a caddis hatch, a skated fly can bring otherwise drag-shy trout to the surface. The Nevasink Skater doubles as a skating pattern and a dapping fly for freestone streams. Tied with oversize hackles, this fly rides high and soft.
Apply floatant, cast, let the fly light on....
