Usually, a boxer who gets his jaw broken does not go on to win a fight.

But that was the case on Monday at the U.S. Boxing Championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., where Pete Rodriguez of Bend lost an 18-15 decision to Filipo Toelau of Honolulu.
