State wins appeal of Guzek case

Justices rule alibi evidence was not relevant at man's sentencing

The U.S. Supreme Court tossed a 17-year-old Deschutes County murder case back to the state level Wednesday, holding that the Oregon Supreme Court misinterpreted the law in 2004 when it overturned Randy Lee Guzek's death sentence for a third time.
