Local boxer heading to nationals in March

Pete Rodriguez is steadily nearing the top of the amateur boxing world.

Rodriguez, who lives in Bend, recently qualified to compete at the USA Boxing National Championships, set for March 4-11 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
