First Hispanic radio station hits airwaves in Redmond

Central Oregon's first commercial Hispanic radio station hit the airwaves last week when Redmond-based KRDM-AM converted to a Spanish-language format.

The launch reflects the growth of the Latino community in Central Oregon, which has more than doubled in the last 15 years.
