A rental home at 1249 NE Henderson Drive, east of Madras, burned to the ground around 9 a.m. Friday, according to a release from Jefferson County Fire District No. 1.
Nobody was injured in the fire, although firefighters struggled to put out the blaze in gusty, frigid conditions.
