Bigger, busier Redmond keeps fire and rescue crews hopping

Department lowers response time, still failing to meet goal

REDMOND - In just about every way, Redmond Fire and Rescue was busier in 2005 - more total calls, more fire calls, more medical calls.

The increases are directly attributable to the area's population growth, said Division Chief Tim Moor.
