Bank ruling worries some in real estate

Two national banks given go-ahead to develop commercial projects

The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of Currency announced last month that it is allowing two national banks to develop commercial real estate projects, a ruling that Realtors, including those in Central Oregon, say could open the door for banks to monopolize the real estate industry.
