REDMOND - A few minutes before a town hall meeting at Redmond High School featuring Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., student Raughn Starkey, 17, admitted he didn't know much about Oregon's senior senator.

"I don't even remember if he's a Democrat or a Republican," Starkey said.
