Wyden amendment would direct ANWR oil to U.S. only

WASHINGTON " The Senate Thursday passed, 83-16, an amendment offered by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., to prohibit the export of gas and oil from the soon-to-be-opened Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

The amendment was then approved as part of the larger budget bill.
