More employees needed at Bend's building department

Demand from construction boom may lead to fee hike

Bend's continued need for more employees at the building department could cause building fees to increase.

So far this year, the building department has seen between a 30 percent to 40 percent increase in the number of inspections, permits and plan reviews it has processed.
