James Maxwell Munro of Bend died Thursday of natural causes. He was 96.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Munro was born June 10, 1909, in Boise, Idaho, to James and Estelle (Cupp) Munro. He married Elizabeth Winstead in 1945 in Boise.
