Bend-based bank reports strong gains

Cascade Bancorp shares up 2%

Bend-based Cascade Bancorp reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter earnings Tuesday, sending its shares up nearly 2 percent on the day's trading.

The parent company of Bank of the Cascades said its core earnings per share rose 35.3 percent over third quarter 2004. Its profit of 32 cents....
