First flu case confirmed

Vaccine open to high-risk candidates before Oct. 24

The flu virus has officially made it to Oregon, marking the beginning of the 2005-2006 flu season.

The Oregon Department of Human Services reported Monday that a woman who had recently traveled to California was diagnosed with the Influenza A strain of the virus.
