Alcohol was factor in Elks player's drowning

Charges will be filed for supplying alcohol to Wilhite

A 20-year-old Bend Elks baseball player who drowned in the Deschutes River this summer had a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit for drunken driving when he died. Officials say they will file charges in connection with the incident.
