In the 2005 Tour de France, Bend's Chris Horner proved he could ride with the world's finest. Now he's preparing to head back to Europe and do it again.

One or two seconds more.

That was all Chris Horner needed for a stage victory in the 2005 Tour de France.

Still, a 33rd-place overall finish for a first-time Tour rider - who could not even walk just three months earlier - is something in which Horner takes great pride.
