Stir it up: Kayakers make whitewater plea

Local paddlers conquer Benham Falls to spark interest for kayak play park in Central Oregon

A few hours before shooting down Benham Falls in his kayak on Tuesday, Eli Pyke pondered the danger of what he was about to do.

"Some say it's crazy, some say it's stupid," Pyke said. "I agree. But I have an understanding of what I'm getting into."
