Feds question safety of bulletproof body armor

Bend police and local sheriff's department currently using vests

The safety of bulletproof vests used by the Bend Police Department and Deschutes County Sheriff's Office has been called into question by a government report, showing materials used in the vests may not adequately protect law enforcement officers.
