John Stolz of Bend captured gold in the half marathon at the World Masters Games held in Edmonton, Alberta last month.

Stolz, 50, was the first runner to cross the finish line in the men's 50 and older age division. His time of 1 hour, 17 minutes and 10 seconds in the 13.1-mile race ranked him....
