Creek in Sisters up for renaming

Squaw Creek in Sisters may soon become Whychus Creek if a recommendation by the Sisters Ranger District is accepted this fall by the Oregon Geographic Names Board.

All public lands in Oregon with the word "squaw" in the name were to have been changed by Jan. 2 of this year under a 2001....
