Bend council votes to remove turf

City councilors voted 4-3 Wednesday night to remove a strip of artificial turf from a median in southwest Bend.

"This is one issue where I'm willing to say, because I voted for the AstroTurf, that the city made a mistake," City Councilor Bruce Abernethy said.
