Fact or fiction: You shouldn't give infants honey

Fact. According to doctors at the Mayo Clinic, you should never feed honey to a child younger than 1 year old. Honey can contain bacterial spores that produce the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. That bacteria can produce a toxin that can cause infant botulism.
