Builder aims to put affordable housing in Bend's west side

Rob Roy made his mark in Bend mentoring young skiers and snowboarders at Mount Bachelor. His work brought him to the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, where he worked as a coach with the U.S. Snowboard team.

But Roy hopes his lasting legacy will be off the mountain in a senior housing....
