Local fire crews snuffing out remains of Shevlin-area blaze

Authorities say a 1-acre fire at a wood-chipping operation near Shevlin Park on Thursday night will continue to spew smoke for at least the next several days, and possibly up to a month.

Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) fire crews continued to work on Friday to extinguish the smoldering....
