Raw sewage spills into Madras creek

State environment officials are asking Madras residents to avoid Willow Creek for seven days, following an overflow of sewage into the creek.

About 3,700 gallons of sewage overflowed from a manhole at 10th and B streets, 50 feet from the creek, Madras Public Works Director Gus Burrell said.
