Rainy day stalls hunt for cougar

Heavy downpour washes away the big cat's scent, along with its tracks

Rain showers have created more obstacles for officials trying to track down and eliminate a cougar spotted April 4 near Ensworth Elementary in Bend.

Police and wildlife specialists attempted to track the cougar after two sightings, the first on April 20 near Three Sisters Drive on Awbrey Butte....
