Juniper Cafe closes its doors after 47 years as a Bend institution

Don Madison remembers ordering the prime rib special on Friday nights every week at Juniper Cafe 35 years ago.

"It was a good hearty chunk of steak," said Madison, who continued to eat at the restaurant four to five times a year. "It was cheap and good."
