Wyden bill requires more kid-friendly TV

Cable operators would have to offer subscription options geared to children

WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden said Thursday the average child in America has seen 8,000 murders on TV - and that is by the time he or she graduates from elementary school.
