SUNRIVER - Safe to say, Bend's Kailin Downs was expecting better.

And not just with the weather.

Decked out in shorts on a day when spring in Central Oregon was like, well, spring in Central Oregon, Downs turned in a performance that - by her standards - was below par because it was so far OVER....
