La Pine's first Measure 37 claim was filed last week by a landowner seeking nearly $7.5 million in compensation.

Crayton Rister, a Portland resident, filed the claim for two parcels of land north of Burgess Road and west of Day Road in La Pine. The properties measure a total of about 155 acres....
