Couple leaves $2.8M to COCC endowment

College president says gift shows how education can impact people

Children of the Great Depression, Robert and Margaret Turner lived frugally, shopped for grocery sales and left the Central Oregon Community College Foundation $2.8 million when they died, foundation officials announced Wednesday night.
