La Pine board singles out new fire chief candidate

Jim Gustafson chosen pending OK from district's legal counsel

LA PINE - The fire district's board of directors unanimously voted Tuesday night to offer the the job of fire chief to Fire Marshal Jim Gustafson, who has held the interim position for the past two months.

The formal job offer is contingent on approval from the district's legal counsel.
