RINEVILLE - Mel McCoy is a renaissance retiree.

He rides a mule, collects postage stamps of the world, takes lots of photographs, makes sure the landscaping on his Ochoco Reservoir-front home is shipshape and, at age 78, works as a box boy at Ray's Food Place in Prineville.
