Age to buy fireworks may go up

Bend City Council considers raising legal age to purchase from 16 to 18

The city of Bend may raise the legal age to purchase fireworks from 16 to 18 years.

Bend councilors held a first reading of an ordinance outlining the new age restriction Wednesday night. The council will have a chance to adopt the ordinance at its next meeting, March 16.
