Lower trails are muddy

Skiers will find decent snow at Dutchman Flat

Cooler temperatures but not much new snow are forecast for the Central Oregon Cascades.

That means only minor improvement in snow conditions on the mid- to upper-elevation winter trails, according to Deschutes National Forest trails specialist Chris Sabo.
