Residents of the urban growth boundary will pay higher taxes, get new services

As of March 1, Redmond's urban growth boundary will officially become part of the city of Redmond.

With annexation, the roughly 500 residents of the newly incorporated area will pay higher property taxes - $4.18 per $1,000 of property value - and see franchise fees added to utility....
