Bend dentist remembered as a quiet leader

Dr. Edgar Timm was known as a quiet man.

But the longtime Bend dentist made his way through life by contributing to his community in ways that spoke loudly of his character.

At 78 years of age, he died at his Bend home Sunday from complications of Parkinson's disease.
