Walden pushes to continue Medicare payments for patients in outlying areas

WASHINGTON - Dropping the 5 percent Medicare bonus rural home-care agencies receive over their urban counterparts may close some home-care agencies in Oregon.

And the additional Medicare payments are scheduled to expire in April.
