Region needs more snow

Recent storms haven't helped water storage

Recent storms have brought the Central Oregon snowpack to only about 70 percent of average, according to the National Weather Service.

"We normally should be accumulating a lot more snow," said Marilyn Lohmann, a hydrologist with the National Weather Service in Pendleton.
