I was saddened by the news that certain local downtown residents are opposed to Joe Elliot's proposal to set up his blacksmith shop along Greenwood Avenue. Yes, blacksmithing is noisy and dirty, but, as the recent article noted, so are the cars and trucks on the nearby Bend Parkway. I suppose....
