Avalanche sweeps Bachelor

Resort official says snow slide should not change weekend skiing plans

A massive snow slide erupted just below the summit of Mount Bachelor by the New Summit Express ski lift and careened down almost the entire face of the mountain Wednesday night, forcing the closure of a ski lift on Thursday.
