Vote on Swalley Canal piping too close to call

Measure passing with 80 percent of votes counted Tuesday

With 80 percent of votes counted, the measure to pipe the first 5.1 miles of the 13-mile Swalley Canal led 58 percent to 42 percent Tuesday night, in unofficial results from the Swalley Irrigation District.

At 9:45 Tuesday night the measure led by 59 votes, with 98 ballots left to be counted.....
