Jefferson revises pay-to-play fees

Reduced participation spurs board to end charge at middle schools

A drop in sports participation has spurred the Jefferson County School District to eliminate pay-to-play athletic fees at the middle school and offer waivers to some high school students. But for two board members from Warm Springs, the policy change doesn't go far enough.
