Forest officials announce 3 more controlled burns

Deschutes National Forest officials announced plans to pursue three more projects.

The projects include logging trees burned in the 18 Fire, treating a mistletoe infestation and thinning dense stands of forest.

The 18 Fire burned 3,800 acres north of China Hat Road in July 2003.
