Bulletin staff report

A brush fire that ignited late Thursday night near the Empire Avenue offramp on the Bend Parkway damaged the fiber-optic infrastructure at BendBroadband.

The fire resulted in loss of high-speed Internet and cable television services for about 5,700 customers.
